About Google Wave

Google Wave is a new model for communication and collaboration on the web, coming later this year.
Here's a preview of just some of the aspects of this new tool.

What is a wave? A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when. A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

看来这次Google 是动真格了. 实时网络的春天来了..

A couple years ago I blogged about what I thought would eventually happen — Google would create an internet connected set-top box. Well, it took years for something to really happen on that front, but now it sounds like Motorola is going to be taking the project on.

Android, the operating system designed and developed for mobile devices like the G1, is now said to be the brains behind a new set-top box being created by Motorola called “au Box”. The time is definitely ripe for something like this.

An internet connected cable box holds many possibilities. Would you consider buying a set-top box that would let you log into your Google Account? Staying connected (to email, news, ads, etc), even while enjoying television or a movie could either be extremely annoying, or great — let’s hear what you think in the TalkBack!

二十年前，一群大学生，在人民大会堂门口静坐，向常委提出七点要求：

一，重新评价胡耀邦同志的是非功过，肯定其民主、自由、宽松、和谐的观点；
二，彻底否定清除精神污染和反对资产阶级自由化，对蒙受不白之冤的知识分子给予平反；
三，国家领导人及其家属年薪及一切形式的收入向人民公开，反对贪官污吏；
四，允许民间办报，解除报禁，实行言论自由；
五，增加教育经费，提高知识分子待遇；
六，取消北京市政府制定的关于游行示威的"十条"规定；
七，要求政府领导人就政府失误向全国人民作出公开检讨，并通过民主形式对部份领导实行改选。

当年的结果无需赘言。
然而，二十年过去了，这字字是血的七点要求，有没有得到满意的答复？

1. 重新评价前/后领导人的是非功过，在当时是胡耀邦，而现在，可以是赵紫阳，可以是江泽民，也可以是习近平。
2. 蒙受不白之冤的知识分子现在有很多：胡佳，贺卫方，刘晓波，纪斯尊，等等。
3. 记者："某主席，你怎么看待官员财产公示制度？"……高官："……如果要公布，为什么不公布老百姓财产？"
4. 办报就不要想了，连办站，写个Blog都困难重重，你是愿意备案还是愿意翻墙？
5. 四万亿投资中教育占多少？和医疗保健加在一起1%。
6. 在奥运期间申请在指定公园游行的人被判刑三年。
7. 《墓碑》在中国被禁，移动在西藏以升级之名停止短信服务，四川地震倒塌校舍和死亡学生数目不允许追问……

这七点要求，是不是我们现在内心中也期待着的？
是不是要再等二十年，将这些问题留给你的孩子？
